Nestlé Foundation

for the study of problems of nutrition in the world

How to apply

Start by submitting a Letter of Intent that briefly outlines your proposed project and estimated budget. Use the official form available on our website under “Download application forms and reports.” Only this form will be accepted.

If your project aligns with the Foundation’s funding policy, you’ll be invited to submit a full grant proposal. Guidelines and forms for the full proposal are also on our website. Please note: other formats will not be accepted for either stage.

Both the letter of intent and the full application must include clear, evidence-based details on the project’s public health relevance, immediate impact, and long-term sustainability - these are as important as the scientific content.

Applications are reviewed twice a year by the Foundation’s Council (March and October), an independent group of international scientists. Funding decisions consider scientific quality, public health impact (short and long term), sustainability, capacity-building, and budget.

Applications are accepted year-round, but we encourage early submission to allow time for internal and external review. All submissions should be sent electronically by email as a MS Word file (.doc).
